Easy to install. You can save approximately $200.00 by doing it yourself. Expect a few more years out of the current compressor. Installed on a Goodman 5ton unit.

Works exactly as advertised

Preassembled unit, easy to follow instructions, if you are technically oriented. I would not recommend this for the non-handyman due to the 220 voltages involved.Price of this part was less than 1/4 of what the Carrier dealer quoted me for a hard-start kit.If you don't have a hard start kit on your condenser, this should prolong the compressor life at small cost.
